Lokoja-based women’s football enthusiast and stakeholder, Moses Bako Nagogo has showered encomiums on Confluence Queens after qualifying for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six.
Confluence Queens recorded a 2-0 win against Abia Angels away from home to book a place in the Super Six.
Bako who is Confluence Queens supporters club chairman hails the club management, technical crew led by Sabo Okala, and players for Super Six qualification.
He noted that the qualification was a great feat attained by the team.
“We started the season with a coach that many felt was not good enough and players that are unknown,” Bako told www.kick442.com
“We thank God so much and hope Confluence Queens will top group A after the last match of the season and eventually emerge league Champions by winning the Super Six.
“I also want to use this opportunity to call on the state government to look into the possible renovation of our stadium pitch so our home matches can be played at home and not away.” He concluded.
For the second season in a row, Confluence Queens will feature at the season-ending NWFL Super Six.
They also achieved the same feat last season under coach Ogbonda Whyte who is now the head coach of Rivers Angels, another team that has also qualified for the Super Six.
Nasarawa Amazons and Heartland Queens also qualified while the last two slots will be determined next week.
