The head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon has skipped the first contact meeting with his peers of the Cameroon national technical direction (DTN) organized this Friday per a release issued by Blaise Djounang, the Secretary General of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) 24 hours earlier.
Brys, Christophe Manoeuvre, Joachim Mununga and Giannis Xilouris were all absent from the meeting of the new staff and the DTN organized at the conference hall of FECAFOOT this morning.
The one hour session that ended at midday which had FECAFOOT-appointed deputies Martin Ntoungou Mpile, David Pagou plus team manager Nicolas Alnoudji and Media officer Thierry Ndoh in attendance alongside a cross section of FECAFOOT staff.
Brys who missed the meeting is expected to show up at the Conference hall of the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium at 3pm for publication of the list of pre-selected players for next month’s FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde Island and Angola’s Palancas Negras.
We understand, coach Brys has put together a list of players after a two-week tour in Europe plus online meetings and is now ready to render it public.
We understand there are going to be a number of changes in the list of players to be called up by coach Brys, including some players of the domestic championship, but a bulk of them will be regulars of the national team in the past five years.
The likes of Michael Ngadeu, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Jean Emile Onana and Martin Hongla who were strangely omitted by Rigobert Song are expected to make a comeback.
