Botafogo FC, Caiman of Douala, Espace Foot Horizon, and Hemle of Botko have stormed into the semi-finals of the Littoral Regional Mini Interpools.

The action-packed phase of the competition kicked off on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Jean Ndokat Stadium in Japoma. In the opening clash, Botafogo locked horns with Academy Football of Douala, delivering a masterclass with a 3-0 triumph.

Christian Ngassick drew first blood for Botafogo just 15 minutes into the game. Despite relentless counter-attacks from Academy Football, Botafogo’s rock-solid defense held firm. Gislain Tchinda doubled the lead with a clinical finish just before the halftime whistle in the 43rd minute.

Ngassick sealed the deal with his second goal in the second half, securing Botafogo’s ticket to the semi-finals. They are set to face Hemle FC of Botko on Wednesday in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Hemle FC pulled off a stunning upset against Savana, clinching a 2-1 victory. Kevin Nzoukou put Hemle ahead in the 40th minute, but Savannah’s resilience paid off. Yannick Christ Donne leveled the score in the 71st minute, and just four minutes later, Boris Bekono’s decisive strike will send Hemle through to the semi-finals.

The second semi-final showdown will feature Caiman Football Club and Espace Foot Horizon. Caiman edged out Dauphine Football Academy with a narrow 1-0 win on Saturday, thanks to a crucial goal in the 42nd minute. Meanwhile, Espace Foot and Titanic FC Samar battled to a goalless draw in regular time, but Espace Foot emerged victorious with a golden goal in extra time.

The semi-finals are set for Wednesday, July 24, at the same electrifying venue. According to the president of the Littoral Regional League, the Jean Ndokat Stadium was chosen due to the unavailability of other stadiums.
