- Both teams have overcome significant challenges in the preliminaries, setting the stage for an exciting competition ahead
For the first time, Legend Football Academy, hailing from Kumba, has qualified for round of 64 of the Cameroon Cup.
Securing a 1-0 win over Talented FA at Molyko Stadium this Saturday, they’ve moved past last season’s disappointment of falling to Kumba City in second round of the preliminaries.
In a decisive moment of the match, Bertrand Takie found the back of the net at the 68th minute, marking off a significant achievement from the team’s season objectives.
The meme division side carved their path to success by triumphing over teams like Bright Stars, Future Dreams, and Kumba Lakers in earlier rounds.
On the other side, CINYODEV FA has made a notable return to the Cameroon Cup’s group stages, dispatching Tiko United with a 2-0 victory.
Kome Kluivert netted a brace at the 48th and the 88th minute to see his team achieve this fit.
Their journey to this point has been marked by victories against formidable opponents such as Tiko United, Best Stars, Aljazeera SA, and Fako United.
Familiar with the competition’s rigors, having reached the round of 32 in 2021 only to be ousted by Canon, the Buea-based squad is now aiming to surpass their previous best performance.
