Co-hosts Kenya, making their CHAN debut, topped Group A with 10 points from 3 wins and 1 draw, showcasing their resilience and tactical maturity, as two of those games finished with 10-men.

 The Venue and Atmosphere

The quarterfinal match will be played at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 48,000, and the atmosphere is expected to be electric, with passionate fans cheering. In fact, the match has sold out, with over 38,400 fans expected to attend, following CAF’s approval of an 80% stadium capacity. To accommodate fans without tickets, the government has reportedly  set up designated fan zones with large screens, sound systems, and security.

Kenya’s Team News

Head coach Benni McCarthy has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to progress to the semifinals. The team has a blend of youth and experience, which has been a key factor in their success so far.
