Ghana premier league side Accra Hearts of Oak S.C, has officially released Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba just four months after signing him.
According to GHANAsoccernet.com, the Ghanian outfit decided to “mutually terminate their employment contract with the Cameroonian following the recommendation by head coach Slavko Matic”.
The former Colombe striker, penned a 3_years deal with Hearts of Oak in August 2022, after a scintillating season in the Cameroon Elite one championship, where he scored 11 goals and provided four assists for Fauve Azur in the 2021_2022 Campaign.
The Phobians thought they have gotten their hitman, but things never really turned out as expected for the 23_year_old, who only managed eight competitive appearance for the Accra based club.
Kaaba only featured in six league games for The Phobians, who currently sit fifth in the Ghana premier league table. He also featured in all their two CAF Confederation cup games against AS Real of Bamako. In total, Kaaba has played 346 minutes of football in the colors of Hearts of Oak, and have failed to find the back of the net.
It is reported that head coach Slavko Matic, has not been impressed with the forward, who will not search for options elsewhere.
The forward has not featured in recent games for the Phobians, late last week it was reported that he was banned from taking part in a training session on December 28, by his coach, after he recovered from a thigh injury.
