Cameroon’s Elite One top scorer, Jules Armand Kooh, is poised to make a significant move to Algerian powerhouse Entente Setif on a two-year contract following the September FIFA international break.
The 24-year-old forward has been a standout performer for Astres de Douala, where he netted an impressive 22 goals during the 2023/2024 season.
His prolific scoring has attracted interest from several Cameroonian clubs, including Cotonsport and Dynamo de Douala, but he has opted to take his talents to the Algerian top flight.
Currently representing the Indomitable Lions in Kampala, Uganda, for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Kooh could make his senior debut on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, as Cameroon faces Zimbabwe.
Kooh’s footballing journey began at Savannah before he made a name for himself at Avion Academy in Douala. After stints with Stade Renard and a return to Avion, he joined Astres de Douala, where he truly flourished.
Entente Setif, established in 1945, boasts a rich history, having clinched eight Algerian Ligue 1 titles, eight Algerian Cups, and two Algerian Super Cups. The club is looking to reclaim its status at the summit of Algerian football after finishing fifth last season with 30 points.
The team will kick off their 2024/2025 Ligue 1 campaign against El Bayadh at home on September 21, 2024, where Kooh will be expected to play a pivotal role in their quest for the title.
