Junior Jean Onana is heading to Turkey today from France following a last minute change, to secure a four-year-deal with Besiktas.
The 23-year-old Cameroon international is expected to earn about €1.5million as salary when he joins the Turkish Premier league club.
Onana comes at a time when fellow countryman and national teammate, Georges Kevin Nkoudou just left following the expiration of his contract, but has been joined with. Vincent Aboubakar.
He comes in as replace for Nkoudou, though the club has been on his radar for a while and RC are ready to let him go.
The midfielder did not have a good stay at Lens having played just 21 Ligue 1 games, but caught interest in Besiktas who are going in for Onana, an offensive option for next football season.
Onana becomes the second Lens midfielder to leave the club this week, after captain Séko Fofana’s departure to join Saudi Arabian side, Al-Nassr.
Talks for they possible transfer of the former Lille and Bordeaux player has been ongoing and seems to have come to fruition as both parties are set to seal the deal.
If all goes well, then the Indomitable Lion midfielder will be joining the club in the days ahead as pre-season preparations are ongoing.
