ISOHSA to host Bamboutos FC in a high-profile friendly in Limbe

2024 Cup of Cameroon semi-finalist Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe will host 2022 Cup of Cameroon runners-up, Bamboutos FC of Mbouda in an eagerly this Saturday, October 26 at the Limbe Centenary’s Stadium.

ISOHSA are heading into the home straight as far as preparations for the 2024/25 season are concerned.

The game against Bamboutos will be the second, following their 1-1 draw against Best Stars Academy of Limbe over a fortnight ago.

It will be club’s sixth meeting against a first division club and in the past four games they have beaten Canon Yaoundé and Stade Renard plus suffered defeats to Dynamo of Douala in the cup of Cameroon two years ago and Colombe in the semi-final of the last edition of the Cup of Cameroon.

The first round proper of the Elite football activities is less than a month away, so just like last year, the ‘The People’s Royal Elephants’ have begun scheduling top level friendly matches to heighten their preparations for the coming season.

Elitico League-worthy match-up in Victoria

ISOHSA high-heights ‘dream bearer’ Joseph Mbock Maput will be able to judge just how ready they are for the tough season ahead with Saturday’s friendly at the refurbished historic Victoria Centenary Stadium against Bamboutos FC, one of the leading lights on the Cameroon Football stage.

The team from Mbouda won the hearts of many since the arrival of Agbor Ernest Ako who helped them beat the drop last season after replacing Ghanaian trainer Joseph Asare Bediako. They are looking to build on that momentum and have a better season.

Bamboutos FC is fresh from a trip in the East wherein they played a pre-season tournament as part of build up for the coming season.

Despite ISOHSA and Bamboutos FC had a storied end of last season and they will be keen on keeping the good form as they meet in a friendly.

The 3pm kick-off will certainly be one to watch for the football loving population of the Southwest Region of Cameroon and beyond.
