Limbe-based MTN Elite Two championship side Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe is nursing idea to take their pre-season to various parts of the Southwest Region before the start of the 2024/25 season.
Information reaching kick442.com have it that the 2024 Cup of Cameroon semi-finalist are planning to take advantage of the delay in the kick-off of the MTN Elite Two championship and visit, play pre-season matches in major cities of the Southwest Region as part of efforts to increase the club’s outreach and cause the players know more of the region of the 2023 Southwest Regional champions. The move will also help the club show appreciation to denizens of different towns for the support they got during the 2023 national interpools.
If all goes according to plan, the club could play in at least three different towns of the region before the start of the new season, though details about the towns in question remain skeletal.
The rare move is expected to start in the coming weekend as management and technical still reflecting on which town to begin the exercise in.
The club created by CEO Karl Njomo Mokake in 2015 has peaked in the past two years following an ongoing restructuring process aimed at scouting and providing a platform for the best less privileged talents across the country to play football and engage in education.
This tour means Captain Ashu Brice Tabi who exemplifies the ‘study and football marriage’ vision after his GCE Advanced Level success a few months back will finally get a chance to display the interpools trophy won last year to other towns of the Southwest Region.
Though the Southwest Region has a rich football history, ISOHSA is one of very few clubs that have emerged champions of the interpools following their invincible triumph in 2023 in Yaoundé.
The tour is expected to last three weeks and will be capped by a friendly game against a fellow Elite club before the start of the new season.
In terms of terms of transfers, Abou Nyake, Samekomba Richard and Ngai Eba Emile from Djiko FC, Sawai Kelly from Tiko United FC, Jean Pierre Lemo Junior from Renaissance of Ngoumou, Etengeneng Mbikem from NQSA, Talikong Elwood Bantar from Kamjo Sports Academy, Alfred Mbita Nkoma from Dragon Yaoundé, Agbor Bessem Bogard from Astres of Douala, Nsob Raphael Martial from Victoria City, Toh Maurice from Rainbow FC, Randy Che arriving from Canon Yaoundé plus Legends of Kumba duo Neba Prosper and Tabe Melvin amongst others have joined to strengthen the talented squad at a time Albert Tiku Egbe, Sambo Abdoulaye, Abianda Michel, Souley Badamassi, Frank Ipoua and Wirikom Michael have left for other adventures.
