  • The confederation of African football has made know the calendar for the qualifiers after the draws
  • The team will close it’s campaign in November in a home game against Zimbabwe

The Indomitable Lions will open their 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers by facing Namibia’s Brave Warriors on home turf. The game counting for day one of the qualifiers will unfold on September 2,2024.

Namibia, currently ranked 97th in the world after an impressive AFCON run, promises to be a worthy opponent. In their last encounter, Namibia managed to secure a point at home, and they’ll be aiming for an even better performance this time.

Following the match against Namibia, Cameroon’s team will travel to Zimbabwe to take on the Warriors in match day two. Zimbabwe, previously excluded from the qualifiers due to a government ban, seeks redemption and hopes to show a better side to its fans.

The September FIFA window will close with this game, and the next appointment is scheduled for October. In October, Cameroon will welcome Kenya at home before embarking on an away match against the Harambee Stars between October 7 and 10 for match days three and four of the qualifiers.

The return legs of the first two games are set for November 11-19. Marc Brys and his squad will face Namibia away for match day five, concluding their campaign at home against Kenya for match day six.

After these crucial fixtures, the top two teams in the group will qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which is slated for December in Morocco.

The venues for these games are still to be set but it’s likely to rotate between Douala and Yaounde unless otherwise.
