Iliyasu Sports Beach Soccer Club (BSC) has emerged as the Champions of the 2022/2023 Kebbi Beach Soccer League (KBSL).
The winners emerged at the end of the season-ending Super Four (4) on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.
Iliyasu Sports BSC defeated Dallatun Kalgo BSC 3-1 to emerge as Champions with three wins after three games in the Super 4.
Two goals from Usman Mohammed and a goal by Frank Agbo ensured that the Badariya-based team claimed the title with Ila Yaro scoring Dallatun Kalgo BSC’s lone goal.
In the second game, Marshal Academy BSC secured a 7-3 win against Magatakarda BSC.
Samaila Ibrahim (brace), Malili Jazuli (brace), Abba JB, Abdul Tamuna, and Usmani Bello’s own goal lifted Jega based team to its second win while Usmanu Bello (brace) and Sadiq Umar scored for Magatakarda BSC.
Champions, Iliyasu Sports BSC ended the Super 4 with eight points ahead of Marshal Academy BSC (6 points), Magatakarda BSC (3 points), and Dallatun Kalgo BSC (0 points).
Dallatun Kalgo BSC scooped three awards as Ila Yaro won the rising star and highest goal scorer awards with the team claiming the Fair play award.
Marshal Academy BSC’s Nuhu Sabi won the best goalkeeper prize while Usman Mohammed or Iliyasu Sports BSC took the most valuable player award.
2022/2023 KBSL is the third edition with BAM Project and YAB Foundation winning the previous two editions.
