Ikose Njuma gets quadruple as ISOHSA see-off Rangers in style

• ISOHSA’s 7-0 win against Rangers is their record this season and a joined record with Panthere’s 7-0 win against Dragon
• Njuma’s four against Rangers makes it six in three against the same opponent this season
• Rangers have been relegated to the Northwest regional championship following the result

MTN Elite Two golden boot winner Ikose Njuma Conrad hit a quadruple as Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe ended their debut campaign in the MTN Elite Two championship with a 7-0 thrashing of Rangers of Bafut at the MTN Arena in Mbouda.

The potential Cameroon international took less than 15 minutes to open the scoring and after Serge Bengono scored the second before Ndjock Brandon Martinez made it 3-0, Njuma added his second and fourth for the team before half-time.

Substitute Nko Ghangle Rattensi made it 5-0 with 11 of minutes of regulation time left. Njuma completed his treble in the 89th minute and made it four for the first time in the first minute of added time.

The game finished on a 7-0 score in favor of the Limbe based outfit who cemented their place in Elite Two next season and Rangers’ relegation to the Northwest Regional championship.

The four goals makes Njuma the the best scorer in this season’s championship with 15 goals and four assists in 15 games.

The 17-year-old forward has made the most of his second experience in the MTN Elite Two championship.

ISOHSA finishes top of the relegation playoffs with 16 points from a possible 21. The club won five and played a draw in one of their seven matches, only suffering defeat against YAFOOT FC on match day three.

The 2023 national interpools will be in the second tier championship when the new campaign begins later this year.
