Ikose Njuma Conrad scored for the third game in a row as Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) picked up an emphatic 4-0 against Leopard Sportif of Douala on Wednesday at the Limbe Centenary stadium.
The club’s lead scorer Ikose Njuma scored a brace while Arrey Jefta and Mbeng Joel got the other goal in the game Albert Egbe Tiku provided three assists.
ISOHSA entered the contest on the back of a very tough run as they had not won in five games but looked determined to get their first win since the 6-0 victory at home to Rangers FC on November 8.
Njuma who had in the last two games against Panthere and Djiko FC scored a quick fire first-half brace sandwiched by a goal from Jefta Arrey while makeshift right-back Mbeng Joel Acho got the other goal of the contest.
On his debut as head coach of ISOHSA, coach Joseph Brian Ndoko handed a first start to Gondjoum Boss Junior in midfield alongside new skipper Ivan Yatchet and Ngange Wilson Jnr while Bougha Andre returned to the defensive set up alongside Abdoul Razack while Ghangle Rattensi returned to the right-back spot.
Njuma led the lines alongside familiar partners Egbe Tiku and Jefta Arrey all on a mission to breakdown the Leopard momentum of four points in their previous two games.
Njuma benefited from a square ball from Mbeng to put the host ahead after 12 minutes.
The goal put the hosts in a very comfortable position as they dominated and scored twice through Njuma and Jefta by the half hour mark.
Leopard Sportif custodian Guy Armand Raoul limped off injured after conceding the third goal.
ISOHSA pressed could have scored the fourth before the interval but it wasn’t to be as Jefta and Tiku forced two saves before the interval.
Tiku completed his hat-trick of assist just before the interval when he found Mbeng in the far post and he scored their fourth via a bullet header.
Coach Ndoko introduced Ngole Luiz in place of Arrey Jefta, Ayong Mukete for Ikose Njuma, Bella Eve in midfield for Ngange Junior who dropped to the central defensive role vacated by Andre Bougha while Simo Gedeon came on Ghangle Rattensi.
Mukete and Akono Mendo who later replaced Wilson Jnr missed late chances to extend the lead for the hosts as the game ended 4-0.
ISOHSA’s double against Leopard takes their points tally to 15 from ten games so far.
Njuma’s latest brace takes his goals tally to six while Arrey Jefta counts four goals.
The Limbe-based remains fourth in Pool B going into their match day 11 fixture against struggling Rangers of Bafut.
