The 2024 national interpools will produce the two clubs to ascend to the second tier of Cameroon football this Friday at the Military stadium in Yaoundé.

Volcan of Noun, Union Sportif of Abong Mbang of, Mintack of Haut Sanaga and Atlantic of Kribi will battle in two scintillating semi-final clashes to climax the 2023/24 amateur football season.

Volcan that finished top of their pool will hope to maintain her red-hot form against East Regional League giants Union Sportif of Abong Mbang in a remake of the last group A game of the last interpools in Yaoundé.

Abong Mbang finished second of their pool and it was enough to seal the date against Volcan which they shockingly defeated during the last interpools.

Both clubs are keen on ending a long chase if Elite football which has eluded them for over two decades.

Volcan versus Union Sportif of Abong Mbang at lunch time will set the tone for day before hosts Mintack entertain Atlantic of Kribi that enjoyed a perfect run in the competition, with three wins in three before choking in the 2-4 defeat to Volcan in the semis.

Mintack are on a run of four wins in four. The Center Regional championship side that reached the semi-final of the Cup of Cameroon this season are hoping to get the better of Atlantic and become the first club from the region to succeed from the competition since Lausanne of Anguissa in 2021.

Mintack versus Atlantic of Kribi is expected to get underway at 3:30pm and will mark the first game between both sides in decades.

The winners of the semi-finals will automatically be promoted to the MTN Elite Two championship while the losers will battle in a third place match that could provide a third club to be promoted,if FECAFOOT decides to promote more than two clubs.
