Cameroon Women’s Football League (LFFC) management body has issued a release to announce a change in the venue of the Guinness Super League fixture pitting relegation-threatened Caiman Filles of Douala against Awa Filles of Yaounde.
The outgoing champions had initially been scheduled to face Caiman at the Bepanda Annex stadium this Saturday, unfortunately the arrangement has been altered as explained in a release signed by LFFC’s secretary general, Sidonie Tagne.
“Due to the unavailability of the Bepanda Omnisport stadium, the Guinness Super League game match day 12 game Caiman Filles of Douala versus Awa Filles of Yaounde will be played on March 10, 2023 at the Japoma Annex stadium. The other aspects remain unchanged.”
The move is part of efforts to ensure the girls play in good pitches as Guinness and the LFFC get together to build a reference women’s football championship.
Awa are just a point above Caiman and could be in serious trouble if they fail to get a result against their host that counts six points so far.
Eclair versus Lekie and Louves versus FAP have also been postponed due to the absence of a bulk of their players away with the national U-23 team.
