Boarding Tanzanian Journalist, Swai Glory Wenimfoo has been handed her first big call into the CAF Media crew ahead of the 2024 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The talented Tanzanian Journalist has been appointed CAF Media Officer for the Zanzibar venue to host defending champions Senegal, 2018 runner-up Nigeria, Sudan and Congo plus a quarter-final game in the tournament dedicated to players plying trade in their domestic championship.

Swai, a seasoned Journalist that made her baby steps on media via Mlimani TV back in 2013 has grown leaps and bounds in the profession and her career – becoming a key personnel at the Tanzanian Football Federation in the past four years while serving the Media and marketing department.

Though it is her debut competition for CAF, Glory arrives on the big stage with some Media management experience garnered over the years serving Council of East and Central Africa Football (CECAFA) and heading the communications team of Tanzania’s men and women Futsal national teams through WAFCON qualifiers and participation Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

A graduate in Public Relations and advertising from the University of Dar Es Salaam over a decade ago, she is reaching the heights she had dreamt of from her days back in school.

Though it’s her first tournament for CAF, expectations are certainly high. The call from CAF to serve the media in her own country and in front of her compatriots and family should be enough motivation for the native of Kilimanjaro.

These days, CAF is investing trust on some young dynamic Journalist across the continent with huge potentials of taking the game to the next level.
