Cameroon international Frank Etouga Mbella is poised to join CSF Spartanii of Moldova on a six-month loan deal from Al-Masry SC. The Cameroon international, who has been a prolific goal scorer in the past, is set to undergo medical examinations this Friday, August 23, before completing his move to the Moldovan club.

This transfer follows Etouga’s previous loan spell at El Gouna FC in Egypt, where he made 14 appearances and found the back of the net once. The 22-year-old striker is looking to regain his scoring touch and develop his skills further in the Moldovan Premier League.

Since joining Al-Masry in September 2022 from Asante Kotoko, where he had a successful stint, Etouga has faced a tough journey. Plagued by injuries, the young striker has managed to make only 14 appearances for Al-Masry, scoring three goals in the process.

Etouga, who was the top scorer in the Ghana Premier League in the 2021/2022 season, netted an impressive 21 goals for the Porcupine Warriors. However, his move to Al-Masry has not gone as planned, and he is now seeking a fresh start at CSF Spartanii.

Founded in 2011, CSF Spartanii, is currently third with four points in the Moldovan National division. The team finished in eight position last season and is hoping to do better in the new season.

They have a modest trophy cabinet, having won the Liga 2 in 2016 and 2018. Etouga will be hoping to make an immediate impact and help his new club achieve success in the league.

The young striker began his career at Nkufo Academy before moving to AS Fortuna of Mfou. It was at Asante Kotoko, however, that Etouga truly made a name for himself, scoring an impressive 21 goals in a single season.

With his contract at Al-Masry running until 2025, Etouga is eager to regain his prolific form during his loan spell at CSF Spartanii. If he can recapture his goal-scoring touch, it could open up new opportunities for the Cameroonian striker, potentially leading to a more lucrative contract in the future.
