Youssef, Amine on fire as Raja reign supreme in derby to land maiden E-Botola title

Youssef Charif and Amine Azami representing the club of their heart inspired Raja Casablanca emerged champions of the first edition of the E-Botola championship final, defeating Wydad in two rounds of E-game match ups on Saturday evening at the Allal El Fassi Theater in Rabat to win the maiden edition of the indoor tournament.

The e-game competition for top-flight clubs in Morocco started on March 28 and climaxed with an exciting final witnessed by hundreds of fans neutrals fans, plus that of Wydad and Raja.

The MDJS E-Sport championed by the Royal Moroccan Federation Electronics games (FRMJE) in partnership with the ministers of youths, culture, communications and national education produced nothing short of the regular emotions of meetings of these great clubs.

Raja represented by Youssef Charif and Amine Azami endured slow start, going behind on three occasions but rallied to beat the Wydad team in extra time in the first game before making light work of their opponents in the second game to make it two wins in two and claim the title.

The night event was crowned by multiple individuals accolades Hassania D’Agadir backing home 10000 Dirhams as the Fair Play club of the competition while Amine Azami of Raja Casablanca was voted best player.

Club Safi who defeated AS Far in the third-place playoff game backed home 50000 Dirhams while the former has 10000 Dirhams for finishing fourth.

Raja received a cash prize of 100 000 Dirhams while runners-up Wydad smiled home with 50 000 Dirhams as reward for their efforts.

Raja will forever be remembered as the champions of the maiden edition of the competition but in the days ahead their winning duo will face-off to determine one player to represent Morocco at the play-ins EC FR PRO24 world championship.
