Emma Mimba will no longer take-over Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) of Bamenda as announced close to two months ago, kick442.com.has learnt.
The latest twist means YOSA of Bamenda are back to square one on the takeover front after the latest proposed acquisition of the club fell through.
The Mimba brothers Group, who had been discussing the take-over of the club in the past weeks have decided not to go ahead with their purchase and rather create the Mimba Sports Academy (MSA) of Bamenda.
The move from the group led by Emma Mimba was announced this week, plunging YOSA’s future into fresh uncertainty amidst the realities of Cameroon football these days.
Emma communicated his decision to the current management of the club while announcing he is embarking on establishing what he termed ‘the new Real Madrid’ of Cameroon football.
“Hi guys, I want to appreciate all of you guys for the trust in YOSA under Mimba Brothers. We had good intentions, but you know the story…
“Farewell.. it was a pleasure to meet you guys.. Watch out for *Mimba’s Sports Academy* the new Real Madrid in town.Kind Regards,” Emma Mimba wrote in the pool of those that had been involved in the take-over process.
According to our sources, ended a month-long period of exclusivity talks after becoming concerned about complications in transfer of ownership of the club. The situation has left tongues wagging as some pundits had predicted the transfer could have brought much-needed stability to the 2013 Cup of Cameroon winners.
The new twist leaves the club with the previous management team at the helm of it though the proprietors have the final decision on the way forward for the club.
Mimba’s departure is a huge blow for the club in need of resources and complementary ideas he had earmarked for the club which was already experiencing a facelift under president Chido Chindo Mitterrand in the past two years.
Initial details about the Mimba Sports Academy are skeletal though it is believed the vision bearers plan to implement their proposal to YOSA and beyond in it.
