Cameroonian midfielder Serge Wohting Yesi has sealed his first move abroad after completing a transfer to Zimbabwean top-flight side G&T Mine FC, following a successful two-week trial period reports kick442.com gathered from Tiko Magazine.

The 27-year-old has signed a one-year contract, with a clause allowing the deal to be reviewed every six months, as the newly promoted northern region club strengthens its squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Yesi began his career at EEMSA 22, where he developed through the grassroots ranks before earning a move to Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo. His performances there paved the way for a switch to Stade Renard de Melong, where he rose to become captain and an influential presence in midfield.

Known for his work rate, composure on the ball and leadership qualities, Yesi established himself as a dependable figure in Cameroon’s MTN Elite One. Earlier in his domestic journey, he was also linked with PWD Bamenda, reflecting his growing profile within the country’s top tier.

His move to Zimbabwe represents a significant step in his career, offering the midfielder his first experience of football outside Cameroon. For G&T Mine FC, Yesi’s arrival brings top-flight experience and leadership as the club prepares for the challenges of its debut season at the highest level.

The transfer highlights the continued movement of Cameroonian talent across African leagues, with Yesi now set to test himself on a new stage.

Yesi and Ekoi Manfred who moved to Zimbabwe earlier in the window will hence ply their trade in the country Albert Eonde is one of the most celebrated Cameroonian of all time.
