For the third year running, the ten champions from the ten Regional Leagues of FECAFOOT will battle it out for promotion to the MTN Elite 2 championship.
The announcement was made via a release signed by Mandong Isaac Noe, the Secretary General of the Cameroon football Federation on Thursday July 24.
“The Secretary General of the Cameroon football Federation (Fecafoot) informs the sporting public and all concerned parties that the 2025 edition of the ‘Interpoules’ will take place from September 1 to 14, 2025 in Yaounde,” a portion of the release read.
Per the same informative document, the Regional offices of FECAFOOT have Tuesday August 26 as the deadline for production of their champions and representatives at the interpools while the draw ceremony is planned for August 25 at the FECAFOOT headquarters in Tsinga, Yaounde.
The annual football frenzy pools the ten champions of the regional leagues for a two pool tournament which is noted for generating unforgettable moments and excitement.
So far, the Southwest Region with Kumba City FC, the West to be represented by Sable of Batie and South Region’s Eperviers of Ebolowa have secured their places in the competition.
The other seven regions are battling to complete their championship and produce their representatives for the championship.
If the past is anything to go by, the winners and runners-up of the competition graduate to the national MTN Elite 2 championship while the other eight teams are condemned to return to their respective regional championships.
Atlantic of Kribi and Union Sportive of Abong Mbang came through the competition as champions and vice champions last season and have built on that to have a decent season in the second tier of Cameroon football.
