Versatile Cameroonian defender, Yannick Joachim Zacharie Noah Tankeu has completed medical formalities this Friday ahead of signature and unveiling by Swiss Super League side, St Gallen.
The 20-year-old who has been trying out at the club in the past two weeks began formalities to complete a switch from Colombe of Dja and Lobo this Friday after he obtained the clearance from coach Enrico Maaßen.
The versatile Cameroon international who can play as a left-back, center-back midfielder joined Colombe one year ago from Dragon of Yaoundé where he had already been captain of the club and a regular scorer even when operating as a defender.
Yannick Noah, who is named after former Franco-Cameroonian Tennis great is expecting to pen a long-term deal at St Gallen and immediately joined their first team.
The switch will end the player’s at Colombe, making it impossible for the man who scored twice in the Cup of Cameroon semi-final before departure to Europe to be available for coach Richard Towa in the final against Aigle Royal of Menoua.
Besides being a well-known figure in local football, he already earned caps for Cameroon’s U-23 national team and had call ups to the Intermediate and senior national teams.
Yannick will join fellow Africans Lawrence Ati Zigi of Ghana, Stephan Ambrosius of Nigerian descent, Andoulaye Diaby from Mali, DR Congo’s Maxime Mambimbi at Saint Gallen.
