However, although the National Council of sports-NCS and its National Federations welcomed the new budget, many Federations had not received a coin at least until December which prompted an outcry in parliament.<\/p>\n
It is from this background that the August house through the speaker Anita Among instituted an ADHOC parliamentary select committee chaired by Hon. Laura Kanushu to investigate the inconsistencies in NCS\u2019s disbursement of funds and several federation heads have since been invited to the committee to present their cases.<\/p>\n
While appearing before Parliament\u2019s select committee inquiring into operations of the National Council of sports last week, Magogo said that FUFA as of Thursday 8th December received a total of 2.878 billion Shillings in two installments.<\/p>\n
The Cranes who will be making a sixth straight appearance at the biennial showpiece have on the previous five occasions failed to advance from the group stages a jinx they\u2019d want to break in 2023 in Algeria.<\/p>\n
