Manchester United FC have completed the signing of experienced Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana Onana from Inter Milan, on a five-year deal with an option for another year, the club announced this Thursday evening.<\/p>\n
Onana completes a \u20ac47.2 after just a year at Inter Milan, and reunites with Erik Ten Haag with whom he previously worked at Ajax Amsterdam FC.<\/p>\n
The Cameroon international becomes only the second Cameroonian player to join Manchester United, following the footsteps of Eric Djemba Djemba who previously played for the club.<\/p>\n
He is expected to instantly replace David De Gea who left Old Trafford last month after 12 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cAndre was our top choice to become the new goalkeeper for Manchester United, with exactly the right profile of technical attributes and personality. Having achieved success throughout his career, we know that Andre will further add to the winning mentality we are building within our squad.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is already one of the world\u2019s best goalkeepers and at the age of 27 we firmly believe that he can develop even further over the coming years,” John Murtough, Manchester United’s football director, said.<\/p>\n
Reacting to his arrival in Manchester United, the former Barcelona B and Fundesport Academy keeper stated his objective of his move to Manchester.<\/p>\n
