The management of Njalla Quan Sports Football Academy (NQSA), has suspended all her football activities and pulls out of all Fecafoot organized competitions with immediate effect.<\/p>\n
The information was officially made public, via a press release signed by Njalla Quan II Jr on June 3.<\/p>\n

Since our creation over 23 years ago, the Njalla Quan Sports Academy has contributed immensely towards the development of football in Cameroon and Africa. Amongst our most notable contributions, we’ve produced hundreds of professional footballers who have gone on to represent their countries honourably.<\/p>\n
Some of our brightest graduates include; Robert Ndip Tambe (AFCON winner with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Gabon 2017) Seidou Baraze (AFCON Quarter finalist with Squirrels of Benin in Egypt 2019) and Fai Collins (AFCON winner with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Gabon 2017) who had a brief but important spell at our club before moving on to Europe to kick-start his professional career.<\/p>\n
Despite the untimely demise of our founder in 2012, our activities continued normally and we managed to float In the top tier of Cameroon football for three more seasons before eventually suffering relegation in 2015 which led us to shift our focus entirely towards our youth academy.<\/p>\n
Despite the many challenges brought about by the Socio-political crisis in our SW Region, which emerged in late 2016, we braved the storm and pushed through, giving youths from the South West Region and Cameroon in general the opportunity to perfect their football skills while continuing with their academics through our unique “sports-studies program”.<\/p>\n
This season, a group of young and talented players whom we have been grooming from as early as 13 years old when they joined our academy rose to maturity, thrilling the public with exciting football. We qualified for the 32 finals of the Cameroon cup for the first time in our history from the regional league and were well poised to represent the region in the ”national interpools” competition scheduled to take place in Yaound\u00e9 later this month.<\/p>\n
However, the events surrounding our South West regional League Semi-final tie against Kumba City F.C demonstrated that football results are sadly dependent on off field ‘political’ issues.<\/p>\n
Considering these circumstances, it would be difficult for our football activities to thrive under the conditions presently surrounding football in the South West Region and in Cameroon. It would be frustrating to our young players, playing under conditions that will not favour their careers. After observing the trend of events over the last few weeks, our members have unanimously decided to suspend all our football operations and shall not be participating in any FECAFOOT organised competitions with immediate effect. This suspension puts a temporal end to our sports-studies program and all activities linked to this.<\/p>\n
In order to safeguard the interests of our helpless young players, we are working with our international and national partners to facilitate the transfer of our most mature and talented players to professional clubs. We shall also be contacting parents of all our trainees aged 11-16 in order to facilitate their integration into other academies. We also commit towards supporting our staff who shall lose their jobs as a result of this decision.<\/p>\n
We use this opportunity to thank all our partners, supporters, parents of trainees, players, staff and all people of goodwill for their support during our 23 years of existence. We do not however exclude the possibility of resuming our football operations once the conditions necessary for equitable and fair competition within Cameroon Football have been proven to exist. Our other activities such as the “walk for life” shall continue while shalt entrust the management of our existing assets to a 3 party company.<\/p>\n
It should be recalled that, the sad and disappointing Njalla Quan ordeal, had started on June 28,during a semi-final game of the South West Regional league pitting the Njalla Quan Sports team against Kumba City FC.<\/p>\n
The Limbe Boy publicly decried the scandalous refereeing,that saw his team being awarded five red cards, six yellow cards and three penalties.<\/p>\n
It was after the unfortunate event, that the FA’s 4th Vice-President condemned, criticized the corrupt and poor management of football by Samuel Eto’o.And called on CAF, FIFA and the intervention of the Cameroonian government.<\/p>\n
An outing that led to his temporal suspension from the executive bureau of fecafoot, after a video- conference meeting held in Limbe by Fecafoot’s President.<\/p>\n
