{"id":8764,"date":"2023-06-28T02:43:37","date_gmt":"2023-06-28T02:43:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=8764"},"modified":"2023-06-28T02:43:37","modified_gmt":"2023-06-28T02:43:37","slug":"exclusive-wendeu-lako-set-to-join-cotonsport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/exclusive-wendeu-lako-set-to-join-cotonsport\/","title":{"rendered":"Exclusive: Wendeu Lako set to join Cotonsport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stade Renard of Melong&#8217;s keeper Emile Wendeu Lako has held multiple meetings with officials of Cotonsport of Garoua as the club stepped up efforts to sign a new goalkeeper this close season, kick442.com has learned.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old former Union Sportive of Douala and Canon Yaounde is a serious target for the reigning Cameroon champions as they begin preparations for next season.<\/p>\n<p>Lako helped Stade Renard to promotion in 2017 and was their regular keeper for three seasons before switching to Union Sportive of Douala in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>After stints at Union and Canon the 2019 Cup of Cameroon winner returned to Stade Renard in the build up to the just-ended season. He was pivotal to their satisfactory season, keeping 12 clean sheets in 20 matches for coach Olivier Nankam&#8217;s team.<\/p>\n<p>kick4442.com understands goalkeeper trainer Saidou Hamadjouda has approved the arrival of the talented stopper and management is working to achieve a deal.<\/p>\n<p>Lako was part of the players recently invited to the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon team for the preparatory camp ahead of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.<\/p>\n<p>Besides Lako, Cotonsport are in negotiation with a number of players as they hope to build a formidable side for next season&#8217;s competitions.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92023 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
