Cameroon Elite 1 side YOSA of Bamenda have been charged to pay a fine of one million FCFA per a homologation decision kick442.com has stumbled on this Monday.<\/p>\n

According to the release the club’s fans were found guilty of destroying facilities during their match day 22 relegation dogfight on April 29 at the Bepanda Omnisport stadium.<\/p>\n

Fans of the club caused crowd trouble late in the game that faithful Saturday after the match officials turned down a penalty shout but impeded a very professional effort from the stadium security prevented them from affecting the game.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, during the incident some of the ground facilities were destroyed including a seat.<\/p>\n

However, the FECAFOOT homologation commission in their decision mentioned it wasn’t within their competence to evaluate the extent of the damage but fined YOSA to the tune of one Million FCFA for failing to control its fans on the day.<\/p>\n

The club was given three days to appeal the May 23 decision. We understand YOSA administration didn’t exercise the appeal option.<\/p>\n

YOSA suffered a one-nil defeat to Astres on that day, but went on to beat Eding Sport de la Lekie by 2-0 in the relegation play-off, thus beating the drop.<\/p>\n

FECAFOOT will deduct the fine from the Club’s last tranche of the 2022\/23 season subvention before making the payments in the days ahead.<\/p>\n
