{"id":7733,"date":"2023-05-30T02:19:43","date_gmt":"2023-05-30T02:19:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=7733"},"modified":"2024-07-27T13:51:55","modified_gmt":"2024-07-27T13:51:55","slug":"wilfred-kaptoum-returns-to-the-la-liga-through-las-palmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/wilfred-kaptoum-returns-to-the-la-liga-through-las-palmas\/","title":{"rendered":"Wilfred Kaptoum returns to the La Liga through Las Palmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cameroonian midfielder Wilfred Jaures Kaptoum has secured a return to Spanish top-flight football after his club UD Las Palmas obtained promotion to the La Liga over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Las Palmas played a goalless draw against Alaves on Saturday, obtaining the point needed to ensure they finished runners-up of the second tier championship behind Granada.<\/p>\n<p>The promotion means Kaptoum who previously featured for Real Betis in the La Liga makes his return to the competition after two years.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old former Barcelona and Almeria man is no stranger to Spanish football, thus making him one of the elements to count on next season though he didn&#8217;t really make meaningful contribution during the promotion campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The outcast Cameroon international will add to Martin Hongla and a few other Cameroonians on the books of La Liga clubs.<\/p>\n<p>Consistency at this level can help him walk his way back into the national team picture he has not made since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Las Palmas will join 19 other clubs to compete in the prestigious La Liga championship next season.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92023 kick442.com-Cameroon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
