{"id":7549,"date":"2023-05-24T06:10:06","date_gmt":"2023-05-24T06:10:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=7549"},"modified":"2023-05-24T06:10:06","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T06:10:06","slug":"souleymanou-hamidous-champions-fc-that-made-wassou-goue-through-to-first-cup-of-cameroon-finals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/souleymanou-hamidous-champions-fc-that-made-wassou-goue-through-to-first-cup-of-cameroon-finals\/","title":{"rendered":"Souleymanou Hamidou&#8217;s Champions FC that made Wassou Goue through to first Cup of Cameroon finals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Champions FC of Garoua have qualified for the 32nd finals of the Cup of Cameroon for the first time in their history.<\/p>\n<p>The club owned by former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon goalkeeper at the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and 2010 FIFA World Cup eliminated Buffle Noir of Garoua in the final preliminary rounds to pick up one of the two tickets reserved for amateur clubs from the region.<\/p>\n<p>Created in 2014, upon Souleymanou&#8217;s retirement from professional football, Champions FC is the creche of young talents from Garoua and its environs.<\/p>\n<p>Souleymanou played professional football for close to a decade but these days serve as goalkeeper trainer of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.<\/p>\n<p>Champions FC have produced some very talented players over the years including Aboubakar Siddick and Wassou Goue Patient who was voted best young player of the MTN Elite One championship last season and scored on Sunday to help Coton win an 18th league title, his second.<\/p>\n<p>They will face outgoing Elite 2 side OFTA of Kribi in the 32nd finals this week in Bertoua.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Copyright\u00a92023 kick442.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All rights reserved.
