Now 24-years, joined Italian Serie A club, Napoli in 2020 for a deal worth 70 million Euros from French outfit, Lille.<\/p>\n
The lanky striker talks about the feeling of joining one of the most valuable clubs in Italy<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels good, just started like a dream, a boyhood dream from the slums and to be able to achieve this feat is one of my biggest achievements in my career.\u201d Victor Osimhen told fellow Super Eagle star, William Troost-Ekong.<\/p>\n
While jostling in the crowded streets of Lagos to make ends meet by selling sachet water, Osimhen\u2019s other brother, Andrew shuttled between vehicles selling newspapers to help keep body and soul together.<\/p>\n
Their sister, Esther was not left out of the struggles as she made efforts to introduce her sweet oranges to customers commuting in and around Lagos.<\/p>\n
Osimhen describes the street life and challenges as \u201clife shaping experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like these struggles have helped me life and I\u2019m grateful for where I am today because what I\u2019ve been through has shaped me into the man I am today and I thank God for that.\u201d Victor Osimhen told Troost-Ekong.<\/p>\n
Osimhen has done menial jobs like cleaning gutters for his late landlord and fetching water for neighbors just to earn monies as paltry as 20 and 80 Naira respectively.<\/p>\n
WINNING THE SCUDETTO<\/p>\n
Napoli were awaiting their first title in 33-years and they needed a draw at Udinese to achieve that feat.<\/p>\n
The Super Eagle made sure that happened with a blistering performance at the Dacia Arena.<\/p>\n
Victor Osimhen smashed in a 52nd-minute equaliser after Sandi Lovric had given Udinese a shock lead.<\/p>\n
And Napoli held on to the point they needed to win their third Serie A title with five games to spare.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeeing Neapolitans happy is enough to give you a sense of that joy they are feeling,\u201d Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti told DAZN.<\/p>\n

“It is an amazing feeling, we have waited so many years for this moment. To be able to deliver the Scudetto to the Neapolitans is something that we will never forget in a hurry and will continue to live in our hearts for the rest of our lives,” Osimhen said to DAZN after the game.<\/p>\n
