The homologation and disciplinary commission of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) dished out a number of sanctions to the Anguissa-based outfit on April 23.<\/p>\n
The club was given five days to appeal the decision and they have exercised that option thus causing a delay in conclusion of the season.<\/p>\n
The Cameroon Professional Football Transitional Technical Committee (CTFP) initially announced the fixtures for the last round of matches without Lausanne before announcing a change in the date from this Wednesday May 3.<\/p>\n
“Clubs of the MTN Elite Two professional championship, the media and the entire sports community are informed that the 26th day initially scheduled for Wednesday May 3, 2023 has been postponed to Wednesday May 10, 2023,” a circular from the CTFP communications unit on Tuesday read.<\/p>\n
This postponement can be seen as part of FECAFOOT’s efforts to avoid a scenario that Lausanne wins their appeal and they are asked to reschedule their match day 26 fixture against Unisport of Bafang.<\/p>\n
It’s hoped that the Appeals Commission delivers a verdict before May 10 so that the actors can draw the curtains on a season that hasn’t been short of talking points.<\/p>\n
