Cameroon: FECAFOOT slam a 500K penalty on ‘destroyed’ Canon Yaounde<\/p>\n

The Homologation and Disciplinary Commission of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has ordered the president of embattled Cameroon Filles FC to pay a fine of Five Hundred Thousands FCFA in addition to relegation of the club.<\/p>\n

According to a decision from the body published this Friday, April 28, Canon who had appealed the body’s initial decision has been relegated as prescribed by article 29 of the FECAFOOT disciplinary code when clubs absent two or more matches in a row.<\/p>\n

As a result of the decision, Canon is retrograded to the third tier of women’s football in Cameroon while their president Mve Emmanuel slammed a 500 000 FCFA penalty.<\/p>\n

Canon failed to honor their games this season because their licenses were not issued by the federation because of the internal cracks at the club which ended up creating two factions of Canon.<\/p>\n

The club didn’t even kick a ball in the Guinness Super League championship this season, thus leaving the competition with 11 clubs which has caused an imbalance all season as there’s a club on standby every week.<\/p>\n

President Nkengni Felix’s commission has given Canon Yaounde three days to appeal the decision if they have queries related to it or are unsatisfied.<\/p>\n
