Morocco is planning to have a friendly game against some of Africa’s finest teams in June.<\/p>\n
On their list is to make a choice between reigning African champions Senegal, five time African champions Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Ghana.<\/p>\n
The fourth place nation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, will like to face one of Africa\u2019s powerhouses ahead of the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast next year.<\/p>\n
All but one of Morocco\u2019s candidates, Ivory Coast, did not represent the Continent at the FIFA World Cup. Morocco who reached the semi finals of the World football show-piece last December, would want to go against Senegal and Cameroon who wrote their names in history books during the competition though saw an early exit.<\/p>\n
They would equally want to try out four time African champions, Ghana, who reach the round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, this June before the start of the Continental competition from January to February Next year.<\/p>\n
The Atlas Lions have recently engaged in top friendlies lately in a bid to keep their high standards.<\/p>\n
Coach Walid Regragui\u2019s boys defeated Brazil 2-1 in an international friendly game last month at home before flying to Spain to play a goalless draw against Peru.<\/p>\n
Asides Ivory Coast who gained automatic qualification as host nation of the 34th edition of the AfCON, Morocco were first to grab a qualification ticket, following a draw from group rivals, South Africa who qualified second from the group and Liberia.<\/p>\n
Morocco, since making an excellent performance during the last FIFA World Cup and writing their name in history books as first ever African country to reach the semi finals, the team has been unbeaten and in very fine form with an excellent squad of experienced players plying their trade in major European leagues.<\/p>\n
