Spanish La Liga side Real Valladolid have begun attempts to find an agreement with Hellas Verona over the permanent signing of Cameroonian midfielder Martin Hongla Yma II.<\/p>\n

The midfielder who joined the club in January this year has been an interesting acquisition for the club owned by Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo.<\/p>\n

Some sections of the Spanish media have it that in 11 matches, including nine starts Hongla has completely changed the quality of the Madrid club where he has mostly-played as a central defender.<\/p>\n

Hongla’s adaptation to Spanish football is no surprise because he previously played for Barcelona B and Granada CF.<\/p>\n

The current loan deal expires on June 30 – so Valladolid need to finalise the permanent deal before then.<\/p>\n

And Valladolid had agreed a fee of 3.5 million Euros with Hellas Verona for the Cameroon international though there are reports suggesting other clubs are in the market for his services and could offer more.<\/p>\n

Valladolid currently occupy the 14th spot in La Liga, five points off the relegation zone with eight games left in the championship this term.<\/p>\n

The input of the 25-year-old this campaign can’t be overemphasized.<\/p>\n

It will be a steal if Valladolid get the AFCON 2021 Bronze medalist at such a peanut fee.<\/p>\n
