Players of defunct Cameroon Women’s top-flight championship side Canon Yaounde have stage a peaceful protest at the headquarters of their Guinness Super League management body this Monday.<\/p>\n

The historic outfit was thrown out of the championship earlier in the season after the homologation and disciplinary commission of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT) noted their absence in more than two of their league games.<\/p>\n

The historic side missed their first two league games of the current season citing lack of licenses.<\/a><\/p>\n

This April 10, president Noah Soter’s team assembled at the Hypodrome neighborhood to show their grievances by carrying placards with varying messages.<\/p>\n

“The footballers want to play please,”<\/p>\n

“The organizers please schedule our games,”<\/p>\n

“FECAFOOT we have legitimacy please schedule our games,”<\/p>\n

“Synafoc please help us get our salary,” some of the banners read.<\/p>\n

Canon was declared general forfeiture but they appealed the decision and some sources say they received a positive feedback which is yet to be implemented by the Federation and the league management body.<\/p>\n

Canon’s dismissal from the championship left it with just 11 clubs.<\/p>\n

So far, 12 rounds of matches have been played but Canon faithfuls still hope their team will be restored to catch up, this is why the players are protesting.<\/p>\n
