Lekie Football Filles of Yaounde has ended the first phase of the Guinness Super unbeaten, after coming from behind to beat Amazone FAP 3-1 on Sunday.<\/p>\n
In a day 11 game played at the Olembe Annex B on Sunday, Brenda Tabe and Ngah Manga inspired a comeback win for coach St\u00e9phane Ndzana’s side, after the had gone behind early in the game.<\/p>\n
Mike Ndoumou’s Amazone FAP had gone ahead at the sixth minute of the game, when Linda Ngatchou fired pass goalkeeper Ogmahan Marthe of Lekie FF.<\/p>\n
Fast forward, Brenda Tabe drew the game level at the 14 minute, with her ninth goal of the season.<\/p>\n
Lekie Football Filles dominated the remainder of the first segment, but Brenda Tabe, Ngah Manga and Raissa Nnanga, failed to go pass goalkeeper Calixte Chantal Ngah.<\/p>\n
Six minutes after resumption (51), Ngah Manga was at the finishing end of a beautiful move from Lekie FF, as they went a goal up.<\/p>\n
Midfielder maestro Codelia Achang, made sure it was game over just after the hour mark (62), when she scored Lekie FF’s third of the game, which eventually was the match winner.<\/p>\n
Sunday’s win means Lekie FF are the champions of the first phase of the Guinness Super League, unbeaten in 10 league games this season.<\/p>\n
The team coached by former U20 lionesses coach St\u00e9phane Ndzana, has won nine and drawn just one of their games since the start of the league and are topping with 28 points out of a possible 30.<\/p>\n
