Sebastian Siani believes former Indomitable Lions boss Clarence Seedorf, was disrespectful in his management style of the Cameroon team and that led to his failure within no time.<\/p>\n
Siani who won the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as a key member of the Cameroon team has told RSI that the approach adopted by the Dutchman after replacing Hugo Bross was his undoing.<\/p>\n
Seedorf replaced Bross in August 2018 after the Belgian inspired Siani and mates to the 2017 AFCON triumph.<\/p>\n
Strangely, Seedorf arrived and didn’t trust a bulk of the players his predecessor won tournament in Gabon with.<\/p>\n
Benjamin Moukandjo, Sebastian Siani were never selected in the Seedorf era. The former KV Ostende man has now qualified Seedorf as a disrespectful man.<\/p>\n
“I have a lot of respect for Clarence Seedorf’s career but you don’t come to someone’s country and decide not to respect the efforts of others. Not even captain Benjamin Moukandjo,” Siani said on RSI.<\/p>\n
Moukandjo scored and assisted once to lead Cameroon to the 2017 AFCON triumph, but like Siani the former captain never had a chance to add to his 58 caps and ten goals under Seedorf.<\/p>\n
Seedorf’s stint as Cameroon boss lasted just above a year. He was axed after the dissatisfactory AFCON 2019 elimination by Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Stakeholders had difficulties in digesting some of Seedorf’s choices to date but Siani is the first actor to come out and criticize the approach of the former AC Milan man.<\/p>\n
Seedorf was later replaced by Antonio Conceicao who also didn’t recall any of the players though they were more ageing at the time.<\/p>\n
