The head coach of Cotonsport of Garoua Gabriel Haman and his staff, have been handed a three match ultimatum to save their job.<\/p>\n
This follows a crisis meeting that was held at the club headquarters in Ngalbidje, Garoua, on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The cotton Weavers have been in their worst run of form, after suffering six consecutive defeats in 31 days.<\/p>\n
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Avion Academy of Nkam at the Bonamousadi stadium, marked the biggest lowest moment for Cotonsport, who have won just five of their 13 league games this season.<\/p>\n
Sunday’s emergency meeting with the cotonsport board, was chaired by president Fernand Sadou, with all 36 first team players, coaches and coordinators of their training centers in attendance.<\/p>\n
The meeting focused on two main points;<\/p>\n
The reasons for the poor performances and how to remedy and also preparations for the game against Al Ahly in Garoua next week.<\/p>\n
With all the players, staff, and club officials having their turns to voice out their worries, strong recommendations were made on the way forward, so as to attend the objectives of the club.<\/p>\n
An ultimatum was given to coach Gabriel Haman and his entire technical bench, to win their next three games, so as to bring the team back on track.<\/p>\n
For their upcoming CAF Champions League game in Garoua against Al Ahly, the management of Cotonsport has decided to increase the player’s bonuses to 400,000FCFA each in case of victory, instead of the initial 300,000FCFA.<\/p>\n
At the end, it was agreed that winning the Cameroon Elite one championship, remains the main objective for the team.<\/p>\n
