Njongoue, 20, has been outstanding in midfield for Chelsea’s U21s this season. The youth team product and former England international as youth category has featured in 16 games, scored once and provided two assists.<\/p>\n
He is joined by Albacete sensation Flavien Boyomo who has done so well this season in Spain as well Malcom as newcomers to accompany more experienced mates like Eric Choupo Moting, Vincent Aboubakar, Fai Collins among others.<\/p>\n
Karl Brilliant Toko Ekambi, 30, who has 54 senior caps for Cameroon and has scored 12 goals for the five-time African champions.<\/p>\n
Simon Omossola included on the list returns for the first time since AFCON 2021 as one of three goalkeepers. Meanwhile, Jerome Ngom who provided the World Cup assist goal against Brazil and later moved to Belgium has been retained.<\/p>\n
Steve Mvoue and Simon Ngapandouetnbu who were in the provisional squad of 34 have not been selected because they are in coach Guy Feutchine’s Olympic Lions squad to face Gabon in the final round of the U23 AFCON qualifier same time this month.<\/p>\n
Cameroon will host Namibia on March 24 and travel to the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto for the reversed fixture five days later with hopes of maintaining top spot in Group C.<\/p>\n
