Josephine Ndoumou Mike, the head coach of Cameroon’s Women’s U20 team has named star forward Tabe Brenda Ebika and promising goalkeeper Cathy Biya in a list of 26 players to begin camping in preparations for the 2023 All Africa Games in Ghana.<\/p>\n

The list made public this Thursday consists of players based in the country and plying their trade in the top-flight championship.<\/p>\n

Awa, Lekie, FAP and Eclair Filles dominate the list in terms of players presence. 18 0f the 26 players are from these clubs.<\/p>\n

Brenda, 19, of Lekie Filles and 16-year-old Cathy who made her debut for Cameroon’s senior national team last month against Portugal are two of the most established names on board.<\/p>\n

The Cameroon squad is expected to go to camp next Monday in Yaound\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The 2023 All Africa games will take place in Accra, Ghana and Cameroon will enter its under-20 team in Women’s football.<\/p>\n

According to the\u00a0African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Coordinator Dr. Decius H. Chipande<\/strong>, the new date for the opening ceremony of the Games will be on the 8th of March 2024 with the closing ceremony slated for the 23rd of March 2024.<\/p>\n
