The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a release expressing condolences to the Cameroon football family following the demise of its key member Boubakary Bello who was also a key member at the continental body.<\/p>\n
The veteran football stakeholder passed on this Monday at the CNPS hospital in Maroua barely days after he fell sick.<\/p>\n
CAF like the Cameroon football federation is touched by his demise.<\/p>\n
“CAF is saddened by the passing of Mr. Boubakary Bello who was the member of CAF Organizing Committee for Youth Competitions.<\/p>\n
Boubakary Bello, who was the second vice President of Cameroon Football Federation, was in Egypt earlier this month for the start of the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. He was in Cameroon by the time of his sad passing,” a statement from the home of African football body read.<\/p>\n
“CAF will observe a moment of silence before today’s TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe and African Football Family conveys heartfelt condolences to Boubakary Bello family and Cameroonian Football Family.”<\/p>\n
Mr Bello, 68, was also the president of the Far North regional championship and an executive committee of FECAFOOT at the time of his demise.<\/p>\n
A FECAFOOT release on the former qualifies the death of their former finance committee member of the institution as a big lost to football and it’s stakeholders.<\/p>\n
