{"id":3964,"date":"2023-02-27T06:17:33","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T06:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=3964"},"modified":"2023-02-27T11:31:23","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T11:31:23","slug":"npfl-slams-huge-ban-on-shooting-stars-after-keeper-urinated-on-the-pitch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/npfl-slams-huge-ban-on-shooting-stars-after-keeper-urinated-on-the-pitch\/","title":{"rendered":"NPFL slams huge ban on Shooting Stars after keeper urinated on the pitch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side Shooting Stars of Ibadan have been ordered to pay a fine of 500 000 Naira plus their goalkeeper Auwal Mohammed banned from football for a year for peeing at the center of the\u00a0 Leekan Salami stadium before kickoff of their match day nine fixture.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was communicated to the club last weekend in response to social media criticism after the player undressed to pee in front of the fans as a part of the common superstitious practices in African football.<\/p>\n<p>The game ended on a 2-2 score, but Auwal Mohamed took the shine from the four-goal thriller as many criticize him for the act.<\/p>\n<p>The NPFL has responded by sanctioning the club and the player as part of their own efforts to eradicate such events.<\/p>\n<p>Auwal has stopped training with the Ibadan boys as he battles to get a smaller punishment from the act.<\/p>\n<p>Auwal will only return to football in 2024.
