Cameroon’s Lekié Football Girls will make their CAF Women’s Champions League group-stage debut as UNIFFAC champions, after being drawn into a demanding Group A for the 2026 final tournament in Egypt.

The Cameroonian champions will face FC Masar of Egypt, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and FUS Rabat of Morocco in a group that brings together clubs with significant experience of continental football.

Lekié will begin their historic campaign on November 1 against FUS Rabat. They will then face two-time African champions Mamelodi Sundowns on November 4, before rounding off their group-stage campaign against hosts FC Masar on November 7.

The opening encounter with FUS Rabat will immediately test Lekié’s credentials on the continental stage. The Cameroonians will be hoping to carry the confidence from their successful UNIFFAC campaign into Egypt and make a strong start to their maiden group-stage appearance.

The clash with Mamelodi Sundowns promises to be another major examination. The South Africans are among the most experienced teams in the competition, having already lifted the Women’s Champions League trophy twice.

FC Masar will provide Lekié with a different challenge in their final group game, with the Egyptian side enjoying home advantage. With only the top two teams advancing to the semi-finals, every point will be crucial for the Cameroonian champions.

For Lekié, this is more than just another continental tournament. As UNIFFAC champions, they will make their group-stage debut among Africa’s best women’s clubs, carrying Cameroon’s hopes into one of the continent’s biggest women’s football competitions.
