Cameroonian international Raissa Mbapp\u00e9 Etoundi has secured a new challenge in Spain, joining Cacere\u00f1o Femenino on a one-year deal for the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n

The experienced forward makes the switch from Real Oviedo Femenino, where she spent the 2025\/26 campaign, and will remain in Spain\u2019s Primera Federaci\u00f3n \u2014 the country\u2019s second tier of women\u2019s football.<\/p>\n

The move comes just weeks after Mbapp\u00e9 Etoundi was part of the Cameroon squad that conquered Africa at the 2026 Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old was included in the Indomitable Lionesses squad throughout the tournament as Cameroon secured the continental crown, adding a major international honour to an already experienced career.<\/p>\n

Mbapp\u00e9 Etoundi has built much of her recent career in Spain. Before joining Real Oviedo in 2025, she played for CF Alhama, helping the club achieve promotion to Liga F, while she previously made a significant impact at Getafe, scoring 19 goals during their promotion campaign to Primera Federaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

She also has international club experience from her time with Serbian side Red Star Belgrade, giving her a career that has taken her across different European football environments.<\/p>\n

Cacere\u00f1o are now adding that experience to their squad as they prepare for another Primera Federaci\u00f3n campaign. The Spanish club began the new season under long-serving coach Ernesto S\u00e1nchez, with a significantly renewed squad.<\/p>\n

For Mbapp\u00e9 Etoundi, the move represents another chapter in Spain following her spell at Oviedo \u2014 and an opportunity to continue her club career after celebrating one of the biggest achievements of her international career with Cameroon.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
