{"id":29595,"date":"2026-08-18T10:31:35","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T10:31:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=29595"},"modified":"2026-08-18T10:41:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T10:41:15","slug":"caf-womens-champions-league-uniffac-qualifiers-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/caf-womens-champions-league-uniffac-qualifiers-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"CAF Women\u2019s Champions League: UNIFFAC qualifiers postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Angu Lesley<\/p>\n<p>Football Writer,kick442.com-Cameroon<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The 2026 CAF Women\u2019s Champions League qualifying tournament for the Central African Football Federations\u2019 Union (UNIFFAC) has been postponed, with the competition now expected to kick off on August 29 instead of the initially scheduled August 22.<\/p>\n<p>The postponement affects the zonal preliminary tournament through which the UNIFFAC representative for the CAF Women\u2019s Champions League will be determined.<\/p>\n<p>UNIFFAC\u2019s women\u2019s Champions League qualifiers have become an important pathway for clubs from Central Africa to reach CAF\u2019s premier women\u2019s club competition. In the previous edition, Cameroon\u2019s FC Ebolowa represented the country and finished as runners-up behind Equatorial Guinea\u2019s 15 de Agosto, who secured the UNIFFAC ticket. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The latest change means participating clubs will have additional time to complete preparations before the competition gets underway on August 29. The postponement also gives teams more time to finalise their squads, logistics and preparations for what is expected to be another competitive zonal race.<\/p>\n<p>The UNIFFAC qualifiers traditionally bring together the champions of women\u2019s domestic competitions from Central African countries, with the winner earning the right to represent the zone at the CAF Women\u2019s Champions League final tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The importance of the competition has grown considerably since CAF introduced the Women\u2019s Champions League in 2021.
