Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has reaffirmed the club\u2019s confidence in Cameroon international Andr\u00e9-Frank Zambo Anguissa, describing the midfielder as a key figure in the Serie A side\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the 30-year-old\u2019s future, Manna made it clear that Napoli intend to continue their partnership with the Indomitable Lions star.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe trust Zambo Anguissa. He\u2019s a key player for Napoli and we want to continue with him,\u201d Manna said.<\/p>\n

The club official also confirmed that Napoli have already exercised the option in Anguissa\u2019s contract, extending his stay by an additional year.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve already activated the option to keep him for one more year.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The announcement puts to rest speculation surrounding Anguissa\u2019s future after reports linked him with a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium during the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Since joining Napoli from Fulham in 2021, initially on loan before making the move permanent, Anguissa has established himself as one of the club\u2019s most influential midfielders. His blend of physicality, composure on the ball and tactical intelligence has made him a regular starter, playing a pivotal role in Napoli\u2019s domestic and European campaigns.<\/p>\n

For Cameroon, the news will also come as a boost ahead of upcoming international assignments, with one of the Indomitable Lions\u2019 most experienced players set to remain at the highest level of European football.<\/p>\n
