No, it is irreversible! If they need me for something else, perhaps in scouting: that is something else. But football is no longer going to be a part of my life 24 hours a day,\u201d Broos told Voetbalnieuws.<\/p>\n<p>Appointed in 2021, Broos oversaw a remarkable turnaround for South Africa after years of inconsistency on the continental stage. Under his leadership, Bafana Bafana qualified for two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking the nation\u2019s return to football\u2019s biggest stage.<\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights of his tenure came at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, where South Africa exceeded expectations to finish third after defeating DR Congo in the bronze medal match.
