{"id":29309,"date":"2026-07-09T15:01:24","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T15:01:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/?p=29309"},"modified":"2026-07-09T15:01:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T15:01:24","slug":"uniffac-celebrates-strong-representation-in-cafs-wafcon-2026-match-officials-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kick442.com\/fr\/uniffac-celebrates-strong-representation-in-cafs-wafcon-2026-match-officials-list\/","title":{"rendered":"UNIFFAC Celebrates Strong Representation in CAF\u2019s WAFCON 2026 Match Officials List"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Angu Lesley\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Football Writer,kick442.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The Central African Football Federations\u2019 Union (UNIFFAC) will be strongly represented at the 2026 CAF Women\u2019s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, following the announcement of the list of referees and assistant referees selected for the continent\u2019s flagship women\u2019s football tournament.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A total of seven match officials from the UNIFFAC zone have earned appointments across the referees and assistant referees categories, underlining the region\u2019s growing influence in African officiating.<\/p>\n<p>Cameroon leads the zone with three officials. Aline Guimbang and Ntangti Innocentia Njang have both been appointed as centre referees, while veteran assistant referee Carine Atezambong has secured another selection.<\/p>\n<p>For Guimbang, the tournament will mark her second WAFCON appearance, while Ntangti Innocentia will be making her debut on the continental stage. Carine Atezambong, meanwhile, continues to write history as she prepares for her fifth WAFCON, making her one of Africa\u2019s most experienced assistant referees.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has also secured strong representation with three officials. Nzigire Zihindula Rachel has been selected as a centre referee, while Kanjinga Mireille and Elaeis Bienheureuse Tomakwiza have been named among the assistant referees.<\/p>\n<p>Chad\u2019s Victorine Ngarassoum completes the list of UNIFFAC representatives after earning selection as an assistant referee.<\/p>\n<p>Although officials from Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic and S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe were not included in this year\u2019s final list, their continuous participation in UNIFFAC competitions and FIFA development programmes remains an important part of the region\u2019s referee development pathway.<\/p>\n<p>The appointments reflect the progress made by UNIFFAC in producing elite match officials capable of officiating at the highest level of African football.
