The 2025\/2026 MTN Elite One championship is set for a dramatic finish, with only three matchdays left and the top three separated by the finest of margins. Unisport of Bafang cling to first place, but Dynamo of Douala and defending champions Colombe Sportive of Dja and Lobo are following closely.<\/p>\n

Unisport of Bafang did just enough to stay top after a nervy 2-1 comeback win away at Stade Renard on Matchday 22. Stade Renard made the perfect start as Houbed Ramadan opened the scoring in the 6th minute, and the hosts defended for the next 70 minutes. Unisport pushed but couldn\u2019t find a way through until late. Devane Tchameni finally broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 80th minute, and Junior Tang struck again in the 84th to complete the turnaround and seal the vital three points.<\/p>\n

The timing of the win couldn\u2019t have been better. While Unisport were battling in Melong, Dynamo of Douala were closing up the gap at Bonamoussadi, beating Coton Sport 2-1. Had Unisport dropped points, they would have lost top spot heading into the final stretch.<\/p>\n

The 2-1 victory keeps Dynamo level on points with the leaders and firmly in the hunt for their first ever title.<\/p>\n

Colombe Sportive maintained second position on the league table thanks to a beautifully executed free kick by Patrick Edzimbi which secured a 1-0 win over Canon of Yaound\u00e9. Colombe sits on 46 points, tied with Dynamo and just behind Unisport.<\/p>\n

Aigle Royal de la Menoua picked up a tight home win over Gazelle. The narrow victory keeps them climbing and puts more pressure on Gazelle in the lower half of the table.<\/p>\n

AS Fortuna and PWD shared spoils on yaounde, with each taking a point from a match that did little to change their mid-table positions.<\/p>\n

Victoria United made it two wins in a row with a 2-1 victory over Panth\u00e8re of Nde. The win adds momentum as they push away from the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

To crown Matchday 23, Aigle Du Moungo picked up all three points against Fauve Azur, outsmarting the latter 3-2 from three controversial penalties. Nga Essoue converted all three. While Adamou Dansoho\u2019s brace wasn\u2019t enough to secure atleast a point.<\/p>\n

With nine points left to play for, every fixture now feels like a final. None of the top three can afford another slip. Unisport need to avoid defeat in their last three matches to be crowned champions, but Dynamo and Colombe are waiting to pounce on any mistake.<\/p>\n

The potential season-definer is already circled on the calendar: Unisport of Bafang will host Dynamo of Douala on the final matchday. If both sides maintain their current momentum, that game could decide the title in front of a packed home crowd.<\/p>\n
